'I initially reached out to Elaine to work through some issues I had with anxiety at work. It was my first experience with counselling and I found it hugely beneficial. She listened to me and provided alternate perspectives to my own when talking through my issues. I now touch base with Elaine from time to time and she has helped and supported me through health and relationship challenges. I am very grateful to have found Elaine all those years ago.'

'I found Elaine's collaborative and non-judgemental approach to counselling to be very empowering.
She provided an empathetic environment for me to develop skills of personal wellbeing and relationships that far exceeded my expectations of what I was hoping to achieve.
I would not hesitate to recommend Elaine, whether it is for someone who is a beginner or advanced in counselling or self-development.'

'We had been to a few different couple’s counsellors and Elaine was by far the most helpful. Her warmth, empathy and understanding towards us both individually and as a couple was evident throughout the sessions and we never felt as though she took sides. Elaine paraphrased our statements which allowed her to truly grasp our issues at a deeper level. Elaine helped us to employ strategies in order to allow us to communicate more effectively which was empowering for us both. Heading into our last session we felt as though a weight had been lifted off our shoulders and were overall in a much happier place than we had been in a long time! ‘

‘Dear Elaine, I wanted to write and let you know that we are in a really good place now and our marriage is stronger than ever. Some friends of mine are on the brink of splitting up and I was compelled to tell them how helpful couples therapy was for us. It may not have seemed so at the time, but your support and guidance really helped us break through some difficult issues and to both make some changes for the better.
thank you!’

'With Covid restrictions early 2020 and the everyday challenges that come with raising a young family, we found ourselves arguing more. Our feelings weren’t being understood on either side and we had drifted apart. When things got to breaking point, we found Elaine on the internet and we both agreed to give counselling a go.
Elaine's calm, kind presence and non-judgemental attitude radiated in our sessions. She provided a "Safe Space" which we could share our feelings and concerns openly.
Elaine was able to offer valuable insights into our patterns of behaviour and helped us understand each other and ourselves.
Through the sessions we became more aware of the other's perspective and as time went on, we became close once more.
We are now equipped with the tools we need to listen and communicate more effectively. Our home environment is much more peaceful and although conflict does occasionally arise, we are able to work through the issue as a team together.
Thank you, Elaine, for all of your help, we are eternally grateful.’

‘I had been in a “dark place,” partly as a consequence of COVID-19 impacting my business consulting services. A close friend (the widow of a very close mate) had challenged me that I was “depressed” and that I needed to see a counsellor. With my situation, I felt I was being forced into “retirement” – the prospect of which I feared, as I’ve always been very mentally and physically active – without meaningful and valued “work”.
Elaine is a gentle, yet persuasive, communicator, who subtly and consistently stretches you to seek positive ways forward. Elaine is highly empathetic and supportive with a genuine caring nature.
I have transitioned into starting a new career – a mix of paid and pro-bono work – all of which is valued by the community – using existing skills about which I am passionate, initiating new projects, and learning/using new skills – mental and physical.’
